Feeling the Cold

Hi friends- happy Friday!  The only thing to summarize my life for the past 24 hours has been COLD.  Yesterday after my doctor appointment, I happily walked to the grocery store to pick some things up for a home-cooked dinner with my fiancee, but when I got to his house, I almost cried:  the apartment was still an icebox!  Defeated, Mike and I met at my apartment and got delivery.  Again.

Not to say it wasn’t delish!  I got the same thing I did on Tuesday, which was a veggie burrito.  This time we got some guac and chips to start.

Here’s my dish o’yumminess- I ate every bite.  So many delicious steamed veggie filled the burrito with just a few mashed black beans, and the side of rice, salsa, and guac made it to die for.

By the time I ate this, I was stuffed to the brim and was thrilled to crawl in bed.  I didn’t even make it through Tim Gunn!

This morning, I had another batch of oats made with pumpkin pie spice and 2 tiny bananas.

I didn’t need an am snack this morning (due to my huge dinner), but was good and ready for lunch:  carrots, an apple, and a granola bar (standard) and half a pite stuffed with hummus from the cafe at work.

This guy was really stuffed- I’d say at least 1/2c.!  I am definitely satisfied now and ready to finish up work.

Oh, and the gas still isn’t on at Mike’s house.  He has been fighting with Washington Gas all morning and it is absolutely ridiculous.  If any of you have insight on dealing with these jerks, please let me know!

I am trying to look forward to the weekend:  I have dinner with my lady friends tonight at my very favorite restaurant ever (you’ll see where when I post!) and then I was planning on lounging around with Mike, wedding planning and watching football.  However, if his gas doesn’t get turned on, we will have to be in my apartment, and only 1 of us can sit in a chair at a time (that’s how small it is!).  Washington Gas= HFCS, Trans Fat, and Satan.

Happy Friday bloggerinas!
