I’ll start off the day with saying happy birthday to my fantastic father! I love you, Dad!

I was pretty hungry for breakfast this morning, which was my normal- oats soaked in 1/2c. almond milk, some stevia, a banana, plain yogurt, and nutmeg. I bought some almond milk on a whim the other day but was disappointed to discover it only has 1g. of protein per serving! I will definitely be swtiching back to soy after finishing this carton. About halfway through I decided I needed a little extra punch, and mixed in a spoonful of peanut butter- hit the spot perfectly.

I was so busy at work I didn’t even think about my stomach until 1:15 when I sat down for lunch, which centered around a tofurkey sandwich on Ezekiel bread with collards, tomato, mustard and agave. This sandwich tastes so hearty and satisfying- like a real turkey sandwich!

I also had a big baggie of chopped veggies (yellow zucchini, mushrooms, radishes, carrots) and some fruit leftover from an event at work.

I was still hungry after this, so had the delicious juicy peach I also brought. This was a perfect, balanced, produce-laden meal!

My snack this afternoon will be a Kashi bar. See you all at dinner!

Boo! I left my camera at work, so no photos of my dinner! I had a big salad with lite Goddess dressing, and bowl of rice and beans (< 1c. of brown rice, about half a cup of pinto peans, hot sauce).
I found that I was really craving some serious fat, so for dessert, I put a small donut peach and some frozen mango chunks in a bowl, and topped it with about 1/3 c. plain soy yogurt, a huge scoop of peanut butter (even 1/4c.?), and some Stevia. A seriously caloric dessert, but super filling!

That is my EXACT issue with almond milk. I love how low cal it is and I love the taste of the chocolate kind, but the fact it has next to no protein keeps me from buying it.

Aww, happy birthday to your dad!!
Yeah, I prefer to just consume REAL almonds and almond-butter, over almond-milk, since they contain about 6-7 grams of protein per serving.

Happy birthday to your dad!
I have also been trying new milks because I am cutting out dairy and have found that done of them have the same protein as regular milk or soy milk. Hemp milk has the most compared to the rice or almond milk with 4 grams but it doesn’t do well heated.

I am not very adventurous with my milk, but I would like to try some new ones.
Happy Birthday to your dad.

I want to try Ezekial bread. Which flavor do tou suggest!
Your oatmeal looks delicous. Have you tried the stevia clear flavored drops? I posted about them on my blog. They might taste good in your morning oats.
Happy B-day to your dad!

Agave on your sandwich? I’ve never heard of that! Is it like a jam? I’ve only used Agave Nectar in Margaritas and they’re awesome! Can you point me in the right direction? I’d love to try it out for myself. Thanks!

THanks guys! Tiff- I use Whole Food’s Organic All Natural PB or Crazy Richard’s. I think I need to stop eating WF though because it has added salt which makes it even more delicious/addictive.
